Admiral 575: Ready for adventure

The Admiral Project 575 is a steel-and-aluminium 74-metre explorer yacht with creature comforts to match its battle-ready seaworthiness. In build at the Italian Sea Group is the Admiral 575 explorer yacht, with an expected launch in 2018. The designer of the yacht has yet to be announced. “The peculiar external design hides a balanced combination of comfortable interior and typical practical needs of longrange cruises. We wanted to reproduce the comfort and intimacy of a villa, which will allow the owner to live on board for a good portion of the year,” the yard says. The yacht’s interior makes the most of the yacht’s 12.9-metre beam in the guest spaces. Unusually, the main deck is given over to the owner, with over 300 square metres of space. The owner’s suite is aft, leading to a lounge area and a second cabin in the bow. Also on the deck is a media room, boasting a 119in TV screen. The main guest spaces are on the upper deck and include a panoramic observation lounge at the bow. On the lower deck there are the five guests cabins and a cabin for the owner’s entourage. From here, there is direct access to the wide beach club and to the spa, which features a terrace overlooking the sea. There is a further VIP on the bridge deck. We haven’t seen the interior renderings yet, but the yard says it will have “the classic taste and the elegant atmosphere typical of timeless yachts, but with a touch of sober modernity”. The Admiral 575 is also equipped with a helipad designed to accommodate an Agusta Grande bird with a below-deck hangar and refuelling capability. A unique additional feature is a dedicated cabin and office for the helicopter pilot. The yacht is equipped with two twin-diesel 32ft Rupert Marine tenders, which are stored in the main deck aft in dedicated tender bays. The Admiral 575 will be Lloyd’s certified EMEA ID Ice Class. “Project 575 is a great achievement in terms of technology. We are proud of this construction and are confident she will be a benchmark in her category. She is a yacht with a unique style that will attract attention in every port,” says Giuseppe Taranto, CEO and worldwide sales director of the Italian Sea Group.
