Perini Navi Art Explorer Wins Multihull of the Year 2025 Award

Marina di Carrara, February 3rd 2025 The Italian Sea Group announces that the 47-meter Perini Navi Art Explorer sailing catamaran has won the “Multihull of the Year” award at the prestigious Boat International Design & Innovation Awards 2025, which celebrate architecture, style, design, and technological innovation within the yachting industry. The award ceremony took place on Sunday, February 2nd, in Kitzbühel, during the Superyacht Design Festival, in front of an international panel of yachting industry experts.

65 sqm of solar panels have been installed on the deckhouse roof, capable of generating up to 12 kW instantaneously, with a total capacity of over 200 kW per day. This system is supported by a lithium battery bank, ensuring zero-emission power generation for over six hours, even under full on board load.

The catamaran is certified with a “green” class notation and is equipped with catalytic filters to reduce emissions and particulates from exhaust gases. Additionally, all maneuvers in ports and protected areas will be carried out in full electric mode.

Thanks to its powerful, fully automated sailing plan, which can be managed by a single person, the catamaran can sail at 10 knots even in very light wind conditions.

This prestigious award is a testament to our continuous commitment to both stylistic and technological innovation. With Perini Navi Art Explorer, we have proven our ability to lead in the large sailing yacht segment, combining cutting-edge design with sustainable solutions for a project unlike anything ever seen before—because no one had ever built it before.
