This project was anything but ordinary, which is how the owner came across The Italian Sea Group. The owner had already been looking for the right shipyard for a while; he had gathered extensive research and gained an in-depth understanding that what he was about to create wasn’t in every shipyard’s capacity; he didn’t take no for an answer and that is how he came to us and we were able to share his vision from the start. This was the beginning of a long-lasting friendship, and many professional teams collaborated to build The Italian Sea Group’s most significant yacht to date.

As an innovative luxury shipyard, we knew that the owner had ambitious plans and would present us with a variety of design challenges, from the propulsion systems to the interiors and exteriors. We were inspired by the owner’s philosophical view, and as a result, the 75-meter motor yacht “Kenshō,” which in Japanese stands for “Seeing one’s true nature,” was built. Together, we overcame technical, architectural, stylistic, and design challenges to deliver something new, personal, and groundbreaking.

Because of our constant drive for innovation, know-how, masterfully skilled teams, and passion for art and beauty, we were able to say yes to the owner and reach this significant milestone for both our company and the nautical industry as a whole. M/Y Kenshō is a detailed work of art unlike any other. It has been a wonderful experience for all of us, but more importantly, it is proof that her Owner’s vision has come true. We hope that this project inspires other visionaries who aspire to create something as grandiose as “Kenshō.”
